Beschreibung The catenins (alpha, beta and gamma) are ubiquitously expressed, cytoplasmic proteinsassociated with E-cadherin at cellular junctions. beta-catenin also binds to Ncadherin andco-immunoprecipitates with APC. Cadherin/catenin complexes are linked to thecytoskeleton via a direct association between alpha-actinin and alpha-catenin. Increasestyrosine phosphorylation can disrupt catenin-cadherin complexes, influencing cellularadhesion. Beta-Catenin-mediated signalling is involved at several stages of vertebrate neuraldevelopment.

Applikationshinweise Western Blotting. Immunoprecipitation. Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 1/250 for 10 min at RT. Staining offormalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive Control: Breast carcinoma. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
