Beschreibung Synaptobrevins/VAMPs, syntaxins, and the 25-kD synaptosomal-associated protein are the main components of a protein complex involved in the docking and/or fusion of synaptic vesicles with the presynaptic membrane. This gene is a member of the vesicle-associated membrane protein (VAMP)/synaptobrevin family. Because of its high homology to other known VAMPs, its broad tissue distribution, and its subcellular localization, the protein encoded by this gene was shown to be the human equivalent of the rodent cellubrevin. In platelets the protein resides on a compartment that is not mobilized to the plasma membrane on calcium or thrombin stimulation. FUNCTION: Trafficking protein from a constitutively recycling pathway. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Single-pass type IV membrane protein. Cell junction, synapse, synaptosome. Also known as: VAMP-3, VAMP3, Synaptobrevin-3, Cellubrevin, SYB3, CEB.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 5000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.

Lagerung Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
