Beschreibung FUNCTION: Essential ion channel and serine/threonine-protein kinase. Divalent cation channel permeable to calcium and magnesium. Has a central role in magnesium ion homeostasis and in the regulation of anoxic neuronal cell death. The kinase activity is essential for the channel function. May be involved in a fundamental process that adjusts plasma membrane divalent cation fluxes according to the metabolic state of the cell. Phosphorylates annexin A1 (ANXA1). CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: ATP + a protein = ADP + a phosphoprotein. COFACTOR: Binds 1 zinc ion per subunit. SUBUNIT: Forms heterodimers with TRPM6. Homodimer. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Found to be expressed in brain and skeletal muscle, with stronger signals in kidney, heart, liver, and spleen (at protein level). Also known as: Long transient receptor potential channel 7, LTrpC7, Channel-kinase 1, Transient receptor potential-phospholipase C-interacting kinase, TRP-PLIK, Chak.
Spezifität Appears to be specific for TRPM7.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other application.
Reinheit whole serum
Lagerung Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
