Beschreibung FUNCTION: May be involved in Ca(2+)-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles through Ca(2+) and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain or may serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. Regulates the Ca(2+)-dependent secretion of norepinephrine in PC12 cells. Required for export from the endocytic recycling compartment to the cell surface. COFACTOR: Binds 3 calcium ions per subunit. The ions are bound to the C2 domains. SUBUNIT: Homodimer. Can also form heterodimers. Interacts with both alpha- and beta-tubulin. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasmic vesicle, secretory vesicle, synaptic vesicle membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Recycling endosome membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Note: In mast cells, localizes to the endocytic recycling compartment. Also known as: Synaptotagmin 5, Synaptotagmin V, SytV, Synaptotagmin IX, Syt5.

Lagerung Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
