A synthetic peptide from the 4th cytoplasmic domain of mouse P2Y2 (P2RY2, P2U purinoceptor 1, Purinergic receptor, ATP receptor) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen shares 96% identity with rat sequence and 92% with human's.

FUNCTION: Receptor for ATP and UTP coupled to G-proteins that activate a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. The affinity range is UTP = ATP > ATP-gamma-S > 2-methylthio-ATP = ADP. Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Tissue specificity: Spleen, testis, kidney, liver, lung, heart and brain. Also known as: P2Y purinoceptor 2, P2U purinoceptor 1, P2U1, P2RY2, Purinergic receptor, ATP receptor.

IHC. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
