Beschreibung
Olfactory marker protein (OMP) is an abundant, 19-kDa, cytosolic protein that is almost exclusively expressed in mature, functioning, olfactory neurons but not in the neural precursor basal cells. The OMP gene structure and protein sequence are highly conserved between mouse, rat and human. Its tissue-specific expression in the receptor cells together with the results of the mouse knockout studies show that OMP represents a novel modulatory component of the odor detection/signal transduction cascade. FUNCTION: May act as a modulator of theolfactory signal-transduction cascade. SUBUNIT: Interacts with BEX1 and BEX2. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Uniquely associated with matureolfactory receptor neurons. SIMILARITY: Belongs to theolfactory marker protein family.<||a href="http://www.enzim.hu/hmmtop1.1/server/submit.html" /> Also known as:olfactory neuronal-specific protein.

Applikationshinweise
IHC, WB. Use at a dilution of 1 : 200 to 1 : 2000. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. For IHC, Zamboni's or 4% PFA fixatives are recommended.

Lagerung
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
