Produktbeschreibung
| Weitere Bezeichnung | Excitatory amino acid transporter 2 (EAAT2, EAA2) (extracellular domain) |
| Swiss-Prot | P43006 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from extracellular domain of mouse Excitatory amino acid transporter 2 (EAAT2, EAA2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and human. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Beschreibung | Mediates dihydrokainate-sensitive glutamate transport; may play a role in presynaptic terminal glutamate transport and synaptic transmission. FUNCTION: Transports L-glutamate and also L- and D-aspartate. Essential for terminating the postsynaptic action of glutamate by rapidly removing released glutamate from the synaptic cleft. Acts as a symport by cotransporting sodium. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Localized in brain and is highly enriched in the Purkinje cell layer in cerebellum, retina. Also known as: Sodium-dependent glutamate/aspartate transporter 2, GLUT-R, GLT-1, Solute carrier family 1 member 2, Slc1a2, Eaat2, Glt1. |
| Spezifität | Appears to be specific for EAAT2. |
Anwendungen
| Applikationshinweise | IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Reinheit | whole serum |
| Lagerung | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
