Produktbeschreibung

Weitere Bezeichnung CACNA1E (Cav2.3) (c-terminal region)
Swiss-Prot Q15878
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from c-terminal region of human CACNA1E (Cav2.3) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
Format Lyophilized
Beschreibung Function: Voltage-sensitive calcium channels (VSCC) mediate the entry of calcium ions into excitable cells and are also involved in a variety of calcium-dependent processes, including muscle contraction, hormone or neurotransmitter release, gene expression, cell motility, cell division and cell death. The isoform alpha-1E gives rise to R-type calcium currents. R-type calcium channels belong to the 'high-voltage activated' (HVA) group and are blocked by nickel, and partially by omega-agatoxin-IIIA (omega-Aga-IIIA). They are however insensitive to dihydropyridines (DHP), omega-conotoxin-GVIA (omega-CTx-GVIA), and omega-agatoxin-IVA (omega-Aga-IVA). Calcium channels contaning alpha-1E subunit could be involved in the modulation of firing patterns of neurons which is important for information processing. Subcellular location: Membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Tissue specificity: Expressed in neuronal tissues and in kidney. Also known as: Voltage-dependent R-type calcium channel subunit alpha-1E, Voltage-gated calcium channel subunit alpha Cav2.3, Calcium channel, L type, alpha-1 polypeptide, Brain calcium channel II, CACH6, CACNL1A6.
Spezifität Appears to be specific for CACNA1E.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not tested in other applications.
Reinheit whole serum
Lagerung Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Beschränkungen Nur für Forschungszwecke einsetzbar
