Immunogen A synthetic peptide from internal part of human Bassoon (Zinc finger protein 231, BSN) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The antigen is homologous in rat and mouse.

Beschreibung FUNCTION: Is thought to be involved in the organization of the cytomatrix at the nerve terminals active zone (CAZ) which regulates neurotransmitter release. Seems to act through binding to ERC2/CAST1. Essential in regulated neurotransmitter release from a subset of brain glutamatergic synapses. Involved in the formation of the retinal photoreceptor ribbon synapses. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. Cell junction, synapse, synaptosome. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton. TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Exclusively expressed in brain. Also known as: Protein bassoon, BSN, Zinc finger protein 231.
Spezifität Appears to be specific for BSN.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 2000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications.
Reinheit whole serum
Lagerung Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
