Beschreibung: IkappaBalpha (NF-kappaB inhibitor alpha, IKBA, IKB-alpha, MAD3, MAD-3, Major histocompatibility complex enhancer-binding protein MAD3, NFKBI) is an inhibitory protein that binds the NFkappaB complex, retaining it in the cytoplasm, where it cannot activate transcription. Upon cellular stimulation, the IkappaB proteins are phosphorylated and degraded via the ubiquitin/proteasome pathway, allowing nuclear translocation of NFkappaB. 1 The NFkappaB complex then binds DNA to activate gene expression of a variety of proteins involved in inflammation and cellular proliferation. 1-2

Spezifität: Reactivity has been confirmed with human HeLa and mouse NIH3T3 cell lysates. Based on amino acid sequence homology, reactivity with rat is expected.This antibody is specific for the IkappaBalpha (NF-kappaB inhibitor alpha, IKBA, IKB-alpha, MAD3, MAD-3, Major histocompatibility complex enhancer-binding protein MAD3, NFKBI) protein. On Western blots, it identifies the target band at ~37 kDa.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Working concentrations for specific applications should be determined by the investigator. Appropriate concentrations will be affected by several factors, including secondary antibody affinity, antigen concentration, sensitivity of detection method, temperature and length of incubations, etc. The suitability of this antibody for applications other than those listed below has not been determined. The following concentration ranges are recommended starting points for this product. ELISA: 0.1-1.0 ug/mL Western Blotting: 1-3 ug/mL

Buffer: This monoclonal antibody is supplied as a 200 uL aliquot at a concentration of 0.5 mg/mL in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.1% sodium azide. This antibody is highly purified from mouse ascites by protein A chromatography.
