Beschreibung: Immunoreactive BCL2 protein in the neoplastic cells of almost all follicular lymphomas whereas no BCL2 protein was detected in follicles affected by nonneoplastic processes or in normal lymphoid tissue. Every tumor with molecular-genetic evidence of t(14,18) translocation expressed detectable levels of BCL2 protein, regardless of whether the breakpoint was located in or at a distance from the BCL2 gene. Overexpression of BCL2 blocks the apoptotic death of a pro-B-lymphocyte cell line.

Spezifität: Human. No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: At 1-2 µg/ml with the appropriate system to detect BCL-2 in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections): At 0.4-1 µg/ml to detect BCL-2 in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Immunohistochemistry(F) At 0.4-1 µg/ml to detect BCL-2 in formalin/acetone fixed tissues. Immunocytochemistry Suitable Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2mg BSA and 0.2mg NaN3 as preservative.

Lagerung: At -20°C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for longer time. Reconstitution: 1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100µg/ml.
