Beschreibung: The mucin genes encode epithelial glycoproteins, some of which are secreted and some membrane bound. Mucin gastric 6 (MUC6) is a large glycoprotein thought to play a major role in protecting the gastrointestinal tract from acid, proteases, pathogenic microorganisms and mechanical trauma. Expression of the gene was highest in the stomach and gallbladder, with weaker expression in the terminal ileum and right colon. Mucin glycoproteins play a key role in the normal function of the epithelium lining the gastrointestinal tract.

Spezifität: Human. No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: At 1-2 µg/ml with the appropriate system to detect gstric in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections): At 2-4 µg/ml to detect mucin gstric in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Immunocytochemistry Suitable Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2mg BSA and 0.2mg NaN3 as preservative.

Lagerung: At -20°C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for longer time. Reconstitution: 1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100µg/ml.
