Beschreibung: Gelsolin, a protein of leukocytes, platelets, and other cells, severs actin filaments in the presence of submicromolar calcium, thereby solating cytoplasmic actin gels. A gelsolin variant with 23 more N-terminal amino acids is a plasma component probably involved in the clearance of actin, the most abundant human protein, from the circulation. Gelsolin is located in 9q34. Plasma and cytoplasmic gelsolins are encoded by a single gene and contain a duplicated actin-binding domain

Spezifität: Human, mouse, rat, rabbit. No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: At 0.5-1 µg/ml with the appropriate system to detect gelsolin in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections): At 1-2 µg/ml to detect gelsolin in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Immunohistochemistry(F) At1-2 µg/ml to detect gelsolin in formalin or acetone fixed tissues. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2mg BSA and 0.2mg NaN3 as preservative.

Lagerung: At -20°C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for longer time. Reconstitution: 1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100µg/ml.
