Beschreibung: Ornithine decarboxylase (ODC), the first enzyme in polyamine synthesis, is a transcriptional target of MYC and a modifier of APC -dependent tumorigenesis. It is located to 2p25. There is considerable genetic homology between a region of mouse chromosome 12 and the distal short arm of human chromosome 2. Complete amino acid sequence of human ornithine decarboxylase deduced from complementary DNA.

Spezifität: Human. No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: At 4 µg/ml with the appropriate system to detect ODC in cells and tissues. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections): At 8 µg/ml to detect ODC in formalin fixed and paraffin embedded tissues. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user.

Reinigung: Purification Purified by the goat anti-mouse IgG affinity chromatography.

Buffer: PBS, 50% glycerol, 0.9 mg NaCl, 0.2 mg Na2HPO4

Lagerung: At -20°C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for longer time.
