Beschreibung: Talin is a high-molecular-weight cytoskeletal protein concentrated at regions of cell-substratum contact and, in lymphocytes, at cell-cell contacts. Talin serves a function of linking vinculin to the integrins, and, thus, the cytoskeleton to extracellular matrix (ECM) receptors. It has a mass of 270 kD and shares 23% N-terminal identity with ezrin, which has similar functions. TLN gene is mapped to 9p.

Spezifität: Human, mouse, rat, chicken, frog. No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: At 2-4µg/ml with the appropriate system to detect talin in cells and tissues. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2mg BSA and 0.2mg NaN3 as preservative.

Lagerung: At -20°C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for longer time. Reconstitution: 1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100µg/ml.
