Beschreibung: Alpha Adaptin also knows as adaptor related protein complex, alpha 1 subunit. The alpha adaptins are exclusively found in the endocytic coated vesicles. Huntingtin-interacting protein 1 (HIP1) is enriched in membrane-containing cell fractions and has been implicated in vesicle trafficking. . Waelter et al. (2001) identified 3 HIP1-associated proteins, clathrin heavy chain (CLTC)and alpha-adaptin A and C. Coat proteins of approximately 100-kD (adaptins) are components of the adaptor complexes which link clathrin to receptors in coated vesicles. The alpha-adaptins separate into two bands on SDS gels.

Spezifität: Human, rat. No cross reactivity with other proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: At 2-4µg/ml with the appropriate system to detect a-adaptin in cells and tissues. Other applications have not been tested. Optimal dilutions should be determined by end user.

Buffer: Lyophilized from 1.2% sodium acetate, with 2mg BSA and 0.2mg NaN3 as preservative.

Lagerung: At -20°C for one year. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for longer time. Reconstitution: 1.2% sodium acetate or neutral PBS. If 1ml of PBS is used, the antibody concentration will be 100µg/ml.
