Beschreibung: Serum albumin, a globular unglycosylated protein of molecular weight 65,000, is the mainprotein of plasma, has a good binding capacity for water, Ca(2+), Na(+), K(+), fatty acids,hormones, bilirubin and drugs. Its main function is the regulation of the colloidal osmoticpressure of blood. Albumin is synthesized in the liver as preproalbumin, which has anN-terminal peptide that is removed before the nascent protein is released from the roughendoplasmic reticulum. The product, proalbumin, is in turn cleaved in the Golgi vesicles togive the secreted albumin.

Spezifität: This antibody recognises albumin. Minimal cross-reactivity with related human serum proteins. May cross-react with albumin from other species. Species: Human. Others not tested.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: ELISA. Immunhistochemistry on Frozen Sections (1/50). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: PBS, pH 7.2 containing 0.09% Sodium Azide as preservative.

Lagerung: Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
