Beschreibung CCR5 is the major co­receptor for macrophage­tropic isolates of HIV­1. CCR5, also known as CD195, is a seven transmembrane chemokine receptor capable of binding RANTES, MIP­1alpha and MIP­1beta. Knockout mice show a decreased recruitment of macrophages and increased susceptibility to infection. Protein and mRNA has been found in macrophages from thioglycolate­treated and activated T cells. The HM­CCR5(7A4) monoclonal antibody binds the N terminal extracellular domain of mouse CCR5.

Applikationshinweise This HM­CCR5 (7A4) antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of transfected cells. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 ug per million cells in a 100 ul total staining volume. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest.
