Beschreibung B. anthracis is a rod-shaped gram positive bacterium which causes anthrax, an acuteinfectious disease resulting in macrophage infection and immune suppression. Anthraxmainly affects ruminants, but can also affect humans, and is known to infect in threeforms, cutaneous, inhalation and gastrointestinal. Inhalation and gastrointestinalinfection is highly lethal if not treated quickly. The Ames strain is used by the United Statesas a gold standard for development of vaccines and testing their effectiveness.
Spezifität This antibody detects Bacillus anthracis Ames strain, a highly virulent strain with biologicalwarfare and bioterrorism applications.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise ELISA. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
