Beschreibung: TAR DNA binding protein (TARDBP), also known as TDP-43, is a cellular protein.TARDBP was identified as the disease accumulating protein in patients withfrontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD) with ubiquitin inclusions (FTLD-U) and inamyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). TARDBP functions as a DNA-binding protein andspecifically binds to the TAR DNA sequence motifs of HIV. Via this association with TARmotifs, TARDBP acts as a transcriptional repressor and inhibits HIV-1 transcription. Inaddition, this protein regulates alternate splicing of the cystic fibrosis transmembranereceptor (CFTR) gene.

Spezifität: Anti-human TARDBP mAb, clone k1B8, is derived from hybridization of mouse FOmyeloma cells with spleen cells from BALB/c mice immunized with a recombinanthuman TARDBP protein. Species Reactivity: This antibody is reactive against Human.
