Beschreibung: SIK2 (Salt inducible kinase 2) belongs to the protein kinase superfamily,CAMK Ser/Thr protein kinase family, and AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK) subfamily, predicted molecular weight 104 kD. SIK2 is found inadipocytes and might be involved in metabolic regulation in adipose tissue.Sik2 phosphorylates ser794 of human insulin receptor substrate-1 (IRS1) ininsulin-stimulated adipocytes, playing important roles in modulating theinsulin-signaling cascade of adipocytes. Clone S15G10 has been shown tobe useful for western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunoflorencestaining of human SIK2 protein.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. ForWestern blotting, suggested working dilution(s): Use 5 ug per 5 ml antibodydilution buffer for each mini-gel. For immunofluorescence microscopy: Use adilution range of 1~4 ug/ml. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated foroptimal performance for each application.
