Beschreibung: CD49e is a type I integral membrane glycoprotein, known as alpha5 integrin, VLA-5 alpha chain. It forms noncovalentheterodimer with integrin beta1 (CD29). CD49e contains two disulfide-linked subunits of 135 kDa and 24 kDa, and ismainly expressed on thymocytes, activated lymphocytes, endothelial cells, osteoblasts, melanoma, and some myeloidleukemia cells. CD49e/CD29 complex binds to fibronection and neural adhesion molecule L1. It mediates monocytesmigration, involves in the regulation of cells survival and apoptosis, and co-stimulates T cell activation.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is approx. 1.0 ug per 106 cells in 100 ul. It isrecommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for eachapplication. Additional reported (for the relevant formats) applications include: immunohistochemical staining of acetone-fixedfrozen sections, immunoprecipitation, and inhibition of alpha5 integrin mediated cell adhesion. Reinigung: The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated withbiotin under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated biotin.

Buffer: Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide.

Lagerung: The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 degrees C. Do not freeze.
