Galectins, a family of carbohydrate binding proteins (lectins) have been implicated in inflammation and cancer. Allgalectins bind lactose and other beta-galactosides, but differ in their affinity for more complex saccharides.

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescentstaining with flow cytometric analysis. For immunofluorescent staining, thesuggested use of this reagent is approx. 0.25 ug per 106 cells in 100 ul volume. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography, and conjugated withAlexa Fluor 647 under optimal conditions. The solution is free of unconjugated Alexa Fluor 647.
