Beschreibung: CD42b (GPIb alpha) composes together with GPIb beta, GPIX and GPV the GPIb-IX-Vreceptor complex critical in the process of platelet-rich thrombus formation by tethering theplatelet to a thrombogenic surface. CD42b binds to von Willebrand factor (VWF) exposed ata site of vascular injury, as well as to thrombin, coagulation factors XI and XII, highmolecular wight kininogen, TSP-1, integrin Mac-1 and P-selectin. The extracellular domainof CD42b by its interactions also contributes to metastasis.

Spezifität: The antibody HIP1 reacts with CD42b (GPIb alpha), a 135-145 kDa membrane glycoproteinexpressed on platelets and megakaryocytes. CD42b and CD42c (GPIb beta) are composedin a disulfide linked heterodimer (CD42b/c, 160 kDa), CD42b/c forms a noncovalentcomplex with CD42a and CD42d.HLDA IV, WS Code P 40

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 µl reagent / 100 µl of whole blood or 10 6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests.

Buffer: The reagent is provided in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azideand 0.2% (w/v) high-grade protease free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a stabilizing agent.

Lagerung: Store in the dark at 2-8 o C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent.However, if reagent is stored under any conditions other than those specified, the conditions must be verified by the user.
