Beschreibung: The causative bacterial agent of cat scratch disease has been identified as Bartonellahenselae. In the past, complicated silver stains and/or PCR were used to identify andconfirm this agent. Alternate Names: anti-Cat Scratch fever antibody, anti-Bartonella henselae antibody, anti- Bartonella spp. antibody.

Spezifität: This antibody identifies Bartonella henselae. Cross-reactivity tests were performed on B.henselae, B. quintana, B. bacilliformis, B. elizabethae, B. grahamii, B. taylorii, B.doshiae, and B. vinsonii strains. Reactivity was only obtained with Bartonella henselae.All B. henselae strains were found positive with this antibody. Spirochete, Helicobacterpylori and M. tuberculosis were also found to be negative. Species Reactivity: Human and Bartonella henselae. Does not react with Helicobacter pylori and M.tuberculosis.
