Beschreibung
|
Asparaginase is an enzyme purified from E. coli and Erwinia carotovora. It acts bydeaminating extracellular L asparagine, an amino acid that appears to be essential forprotein synthesis by some tumour cells which are unable to synthesise asparagine.Asparaginase from Erwinia carotovora is serologically and biochemically distinct fromasparaginase from E. coli, although its antineoplastic activity and toxicity is similar.Asparaginase is usually considered to be cell cycle phase nonspecific, but it may blocksome cells in G1 or S phase. Asparaginase reduces cellular and humoral immunity.E.coli contains two L asparaginase isoenzymes: L asparaginase I, a low affinity enzymelocated in the cytoplasm, and L asparaginase II, a high affinity secreted enzyme. Alternate Names: anti-L ASNase II antibody, anti-AnsA antibody, anti-AnsB antibody, anti-Colaspaseantibody, anti-Cytoplasmic asparaginase I antibody, anti-L ASNase I antibody, anti-LASNase II antibody, anti-L asparaginase 1 antibody, anti-L asparaginase 2 antibody,anti-L asparaginase I antibody, anti-L asparaginase II antibody, anti-L asparaginase IIprecursor antibody, anti-L asparagine amidohydrolase I antibody, anti-L asparagineamidohydrolase II antibody.
