Without colchine pretreatment well stained cell bodies are visible in the cerebral cortex,cerebrallar cortex, superior colliculus and some brainstem raphe. With colchinepretreatment, additional cell body staining is present in the interpeduncular nucleus andthe dorsal column nuclei.

Recognizes GABA. Staining was blocked by preabsorbing with 100uM GABAconjugated to glutaraldehyde. 500uM of similar conjugations of glutamic acid, glutamateand taurine failed to block staining. Species Reactivity: Not applicable. Localization: Cell Membrane, Cytoplasmic and Plasma membrane.
