Beschreibung: Anthrax PA (Protective Antigen) and Anthrax LF (Lethal Factor), along with Anthrax EF(Edema Factor), are toxins produced by Bacillus anthracis. All three of the proteins mustbe present for toxic entry into cells. PA is secreted from Bacillus anthracis as an 83 kDa(PA83) protein which is cleaved by furin protease, releasing a 20 kDa fragment. The 63kDa portion (PA63) of the cleavage product forms a heptamer, which binds the toxinsLF and EF. This complex enters via receptor-mediated endocytosis where LF and EFexert their toxic effects. Spezifität: PA is cleaved from the 83 kDa form to the 63 kDa form at amino acids 164-167. Thusthe antibody (made against amino acids 250-250) should recognize both the 83 kDa and63 kDa PA forms, but not the 20 kDa cleavage fragment. Species Reactivity: Anthrax PA produced by Bacillus anthracis.

Applikationshinweise: Suggested working dilutions: Western Blot 1:1000. Positive Controls: PA recombinant protein

Buffer: PBS containing 0.2% gelatin and 0.05% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic. Preservative: 0.05% Sodium Azide.

Lagerung: Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze thaw cycles.
