Beschreibung: Papain is a protease derived from the papaya fruit (Carica papaya). It hydrolysespeptides with broad specificity, but shows a preference for large hydrophobic aminoacids in the P2 position. It is synthesised as an inactive 40 kDa precursor containing a107 residue N terminal pro region and a 26 residue signal peptide. Alternate Names: anti-Allergen Car p 1 antibody, anti-Papaya proteinase I antibody, anti-PPI antibody.

Spezifität: Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-goatserum as well as purified and partially purified papain. Species Reactivity: Plant. Not yet tested in other species.

Anwendungen

Buffer: PBS buffer, pH 7.2. Preservative: 0.01% Sodium Azide.

Lagerung: Store at 4C short term. Aliquot and store at -20C long term. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
