Beschreibung: ADAMDEC1 is a secreted protein belonging to the disintegrin metalloproteinase family.The prototypic ADAM protein has a prodomain, a metalloprotease domain, a disintegrindomain, a cysteine-rich region, a transmembrane domain, and a variable cytoplasmictail. ADAMDEC1 has only a partial disintegrin domain and totally lacks a cysteine-richdomain. Hence, it belongs to a novel ADAM subfamily. ADAMDEC1 expression isupregulated during dendritic cell maturation suggesting that this protein may play animportant role in dendritic cell function and interactions with germinal center T cells.
