Beschreibung: A type of white blood cell derived from the thymus. T cells are of key importance to theimmune system and are at the core of adaptive immunity, the system that tailors thebody',s immune response to specific pathogens. T cells do not produce antibodiesbut do produce a number of substances that regulate the immune response. There aretwo main subtypes: the CD4+ helper T cells and the CD8+ cytotoxic or suppressor Tcells. This antibody immunoprecipitates a 67kDa protein from thymocytes.

Spezifität: Recognizes a cell surface antigen present on the surface of all guinea pig Tlymphocytes. Weak reactivity is also seen with some myeloid cells, and with the L2Cguinea pig B cell leukemia. Species Reactivity: Reacts with Guinea Pig.
