Beschreibung: Escherichia coli is a gram negative bacillus that belongs to a larger group ofEnterobacteriae - bacteria that inhabit the gastrointestinal tract. Although usually aharmless resident of the gut, some strains have the potential to cause serious problems,especially where there is an immature immune system or immunosuppression, or wherethe subtype of organism has acquired the ability to produce pathogenic toxins. Alternate Names: Anti-Escherichia coli antibody.

Spezifität: In a simple ELISA, using Biogenesis test groups, this antibody is only reactive with E.coli K88a.Reactive with isolates fixed by phenol, formalin and boiling. Species Reactivity: Bacteria. Not yet tested in other species.
