Amphetamine and Methamphetamine (Methylamphetamine) are relatedpsychostimulant and sympathomimetic drugs. They are prescribed to treat severe casesof attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), traumatic brain injury and narcolepsy.They are also used illegally for recreational purposes.Amphetamines enter the brain and trigger a cascading release of norepinephrine,dopamine and serotonin. Alternate Names: anti-benzedrine antibody, anti-beta phenyl isopropylamine antibody,anti-desoxyephedrine antibody, anti-methylamphetamine antibody.
