Beschreibung
|
O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (O-GlcNAc) transferase (OGT) catalyzes the addition of asingle N-acetylglucosamine in O-glycosidic linkage to serine or threonine residues.Since both phosphorylation and glycosylation compete for similar serine or threonineresidues, the two processes may compete for sites, or they may alter the substratespecificity of nearby sites by steric or electrostatic effects. The protein contains ninetetratricopeptide repeats and a putative bipartite nuclear localization signal. Twoalternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been found forthis gene. Alternate Names: anti-OGT antibody, anti-O-linked N-acetylglucosamine (GlcNAc) transferase(UDP-N-acetylglucosamine:polypeptide-N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase) antibody,anti-FLJ23071 antibody, anti-HRNT1 antibody, anti-MGC22921 antibody,anti-O-GLCNAC antibody, anti-O-GlcNAc transferase p110 subunit O-linked GlcNActransferase antibody, anti-uridinediphospho-N-acetylglucosamine:polypeptidebeta-N-acetylglucosaminyl transferase antibody.
