It is a low affinity levocabastine-sensitive receptor for Neurotensin.Activation of NT2R by non-peptide agonists suggests that the receptor can couple tophospholipase C, phospholipase A2 and MAPK. Unlike NTR1, NTR2 is insensitive toGTP and has low sensitivity of sodium ions. Northern Blot analysis detected itsexpression in adult brain regions including the olfactory system, cerebral and crebellarcortices, hippocampus and hypothalamic nuclei. Its expression has also been found inlow levels in kidney, uterus, heart and lung.

Spezifität: The amino acid sequence used as immunogen is 100% homologous in human, 94% inbovine, and 88% in rat, mouse and dog. Species Reactivity: Reacts with Human and Mouse. 88% sequence identity with rat, mouse and canineproteins.
