The enzyme urease catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea to create carbon dioxide andammonia. The protein consists of a single kind of polypeptide chain containing 840amino acid residues. The subunit relative molecular mass calculated from the sequenceis 90,770, indicating that urease is composed of six subunits. Alternate Names: anti-Urea Amidohydrolase antibody.
