Beschreibung: TetraHydroDesOxyCorticosterone (THDOC) is a stress related neuroactivesteroid. THDOC is a metabolite of desoxycoritcosterone (DOC) and progesteroneand DOC is a steroid in the synthesis pathway to aldosterone. THDOC isproduced by the adrenal in parallel with cortisol at stress and is regulated by ACTH. THDOC is a potent positive modulator of the GABA A receptor. THDOCpasses the blood-brain barrier and can be found in the brain after stress innanomolar concentrations.

Applikationshinweise: Recommended Dilution 1: 1000 (RIA).

Buffer: Total IgY in PBS pH 8.0 + 0.02% sodium azide

Lagerung: store at 4°C or at -20°C for long-term storage, make aliquots to avoid workingwith a stock. Please, remember to spin tubes briefly prior to opening them to avoidany losses that might occur from liquid material adhering to the cap or sides of thetubes.
