Beschreibung: CD74 (the MHC II-associated invariant chain, Ii) is an type II transmembrane proteinexpressed in antigen-presenting cells, that serves as MHC II chaperone which promotesMHC II trafficking from the ER to endocytic compartments, prevents peptide binding in theER and contributes to peptide editing in the MHC II compartment, it is also an accessorysignaling molecule implicated e. g. in malignant B cell proliferation. Stimulation of cellsurface CD74 leads to NFκB activation, which enables entry of the stimulated cell into the Sphase. CD74 binds pro-inflammatory cytokine MIF with high affinity and interacts withCD44. Binding of Vpu, an HIV1 protein, to CD74 modulates MHC II presentation.

Spezifität: The antibody LN2 is specific to CD74. It also reacts with activated neoplastic cells in T cell lymphomas, lymph node germinalcenter, mantle zone B cells, histiocytes, interdigitating reticulum cells, Langerhans cells,thymic dendritic cells and peripheral blood B lymphocytes. Species: Human. Others not tested.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Flow Cytometry. Immunohistochemistry (paraffin sections). Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Buffer: PBS, pH 7.4 containing 15 mM sodium azide as preservative.

Lagerung: Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
