Beschreibung: Glypican-4, previously known as K-glypican, is a GPI-linked cell surface heparan sulfateproteoglycan of the glypican gene family, that comprises 6 members at present. Itsfunction is only partially understood at present. However, glypican-4 seems to be involvedin the control of cell growth and differen-tiation, especially in the development of thecentral nervous system and the kidney. Furthermore, glypican-4 is expressed byhematopoetic stem cells and bone marrow stromal cells.

Spezifität: Specific for a core protein epitope (aa 54-66) of glypi-can-4. Species: Human. Others not tested. Add. Information: Although the antiserum was prepared against a peptide from human glypican-4, due to thehighly conserved structure and se-quence of glypican-4, it might react also with glypican- 4from other species, like mouse. Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Western blot (1: 1000). Immunohistochemistry (1: 1000). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
