Beschreibung Guanylin is an endogenous activator of intestinal guanylate cyclase. It stimulates thisenzyme through the same receptor binding region as the heat-stable enterotoxins. Guanylin is highly expressed in ileum and colon, found in plasma and belongs to theguanylin family.
Spezifität This antibody detects Synthetic Guanylin (aa 80-94). Recognizes the intracellular form of Guanylin (aa 1-115) and the native circulating peptide inblood. Species: Human. Others not tested.
