GFAP (Glial fibrillary acidic protein) is acidic protein which has molecular weight of 50kDa, and the protein is the principal constituent of grilal fibra acidic protein. As GFAP exists in astroglia specifically, this antibody can be used as marker which recognize astroglia specifically.

|
This antibody can be stained in bouine fixed paraffin embedded tissues by several Immunohistochemical techniques such as Avidin Biotin Complex (ABC) Method. The optimal dilution is about X200, however, the dilution rate should be optimized by each laboratories.
