Beschreibung This rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizes human, mouse, and rat cyclin E also known as Cyclin E1, CCNE, G1/S specific cyclin E1. Cycline E is a nucleus protein, predicted molecular weight 47 kD. Cycline E belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, whose members are characterized by a dramatic periodicity in protein abundance through the cell cycle. Cycline E forms a complex with and functions as a regulatory subunit of CDK2, whose activity is required for cell cycle G1/S transition. This protein accumulates at the G1-S phase boundary and is degraded as cells progress through S phase. Cyclin E is essential for the control of the cell cycle at the G1/S transition. Overexpression of this gene has been observed in many tumors, which results in chromosome instability, and thus may contribute to tumorigenesis. The poly6307 antibody has been shown to be useful for Western blotting, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry. Distribution: Nucleus protein, ubiquitous expressed Function: Essential for the control of the cell cycle at the G1/S (start) transition. Synonyms: Cyclin E1, CCNE, G1/S specific cyclin E1 Structure: Belongs to the highly conserved cyclin family, predicted molecular weight 47 kD.
Spezifität Interacts with a member of the CDK2/CDK protein kinases to form a serine/threonine kinase holoenzyme complex. The cyclin subunit imparts substrate specificity to the complex. Interacts with retinoblastoma binding protein 3 and retinoblastoma-like protein 1.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by Western blotting. For Western blotting, suggested working dilution(s): Use 25 µl antibody per 5 ml antibody dilution buffer for each mini-gel. For immunohistochemical staining, the suggested use of this reagent is 1:100 dilution. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
Reinigung The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography.
Buffer This antibody is provided in phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide and 0.2% gelatin at 200 µg/ml.
Lagerung The antibody solution should be stored undiluted at 4 °C.
Forschungsgebiet Zellzyklus
Beschränkungen Nur für Forschungszwecke einsetzbar
