Produktbeschreibung

Immunogen The immunogen is a GST-Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) fusion proteincorresponding to the full length amino acid sequence (246aa) derived from the jellyfishAequorea victoria.
Isotyp IgG2a  (Passende Sekundärantikörper)
Beschreibung Green fluorescence protein (GFP) is a 27 KDa protein derived from the jellyfish Aquoreavictoria, which emits green light (emission peak at a wavelenth of 509 nm) when excitedby blue light (excitation peak at a wavelenth of 395 nm). GFP has become an invaluabletool in cell biology research, since its intrinsic fluorescence can be visualized in livingcells. GFP fluorescence is stable under fixation conditions and suitable for a variety ofapplications. GFP has been widely used as a reporter for gene expression, enablingresearchers to visualize and localize GFP-tagged proteins within living cells without theneed for chemical staining. Other applications of GFP include assessment of proteinprotein interactions through the yeast two hybrid system and measurement of distancebetween proteins through fluorescence energy transfer (FRET) protocols. GFPtechnnology has considerably contributed to a greater understanding of cellularphysiology. Alternate Names: anti-Green Fluorescent Protein antibody.
Spezifität Reactivity is observed against wild type and recombinant forms of GFP. No reaction isseen against RFP. Species Reactivity: All Species. Theoretical Molecular Weight: 27 kDa.
