Chickens were immunized with V5 cleavage site (GKPIPNPLLGLDST) conjugated to KLH. Antibody was isolated by affinity chromatography using the peptide immobilizedon solid support. Chicken anti-human V5 affinity purified antibodies were coupled topeptide immobilized on solid support.

The V5 epitope tag is derived from a small epitope (Pk) present on the P and V proteinsof the paramyxovirus of simian virus 5 (SV5). The V5 tag is usually used with all 14amino acids (GKPIPNPLLGLDST), although it has also been used with a shorter 9amino acid sequence (IPNPLLGLD). Alternate Names: anti-GKPIPNPLLGLDST epitope tag antibody, anti-GKPIPNPLLGLDST tag antibody,anti-V5 epitope tag antibody.
