Beschreibung Tyrosine phosphorylation plays a critical role in many physiological processes. There isa fine balance between phosphorylation caused by protein tyrosine kinases and actionsof protein tyrosine phosphatases, that regulates these physiological processes. Striatalenriched phosphatase (STEP) is part of a family of protein tyrosine phosphatasesenriched within the CNS and is a component of the NMDAR complex. It is expressedwithin dopaminoceptive neurons in the CNS and particularly enriched within the basalganglia and related structures.STEP61 is a membrane-associated isoform and STEP46 is a cytosolic protein. Inresponse to transient hypoxia-ischemia in the brain, STEP61 is proteolytically cleavedby calpain, thereby releasing a smaller isoform, STEP33. Alternate Names: Anti-FLJ14427 antibody, Anti-Neural specific protein tyrosine phosphatase antibody,Anti-Protein tyrosine phosphatase non receptor type 5 (striatum enriched) antibody,Anti-Protein tyrosine phosphatase non receptor type 5 antibody, Anti-Protein tyrosinephosphatase striatum enriched antibody, Anti-PTN5 antibody, Anti-PTP STEP antibody,Anti-PTPN 5 antibody, Anti-PTPSTEP antibody, Anti-Tyrosine protein phosphatase nonreceptor type 5 antibody, anti-PTPN5 antibody.
Spezifität ABIN152543 is specific for STEP61, STEP46, STEP38, and STEP20. Species Reactivity: ABIN152543 recognizes rat STEP proteins. Other species have not been tested. However, there is 100% homology between the mouse protein and the immunogenused for this antibody production. There is 94% homology between the human proteinand the immunogen used for this antibody production. Localization: Cytoplasmic.
