Beschreibung: In mammals, S-Adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase (SAH3 / AdoHcyase) catalyzes thehydrolysis of S-adenosylhomocysteine to form adenosine and homocysteine. AdoHcyis the product of all adenosylmethionine (AdoMet)-dependent biologicaltransmethylations. These reactions have a wide range of products, and are common inall facets of biometabolism. As a product inhibitor, elevated levels of AdoHcy suppressAdoMet-dependent transmethylations. Thus, SAH3 is a regulator of biologicaltransmethylation. Detection of Human SAH3 by Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Samples: NETN whole cell lysate (20 mcg for WB, 1 mg for IP) from HeLa cells. Antibody: Affinity purified rabbit anti-SAH3 antibody used at the indicated concentration for WB and 2 mcg/mg lysate for IP. Detection: HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG used at 1:10,000 followed by a chemiluminescent substrate and exposure to film for 10 seconds.
