Beschreibung: COP9 signalosome is a conserved protein composed of eight subunits. Individualsubunits of the complex have been linked to various signal transduction pathwaysleading to gene expression and cell cycle control. CSN1 is the COP9 subunit 1. The C-terminus of CSN1 is responsible for interactingwith CSN2, CSN3, and CSN4 subunits. It is required for incorporation of the subunitinto the complex. The N-terminus harbors the activity domain that confers most of therepression functions of CSN1.
