Beschreibung: XRCC4 (X-ray cross complementation protein-4) is an essential component for DNAdouble strand break repair and V(D)J recombination. The XRCC4 gene encodes a38kDa protein that is ubiquitously expressed and contains no sequence similarity to anypreviously described protein. Recent experiments have shown that XRCC4 directlyinteracts with DNA ligase IV implicating a possible role in DNA-end joining.
