Beschreibung: Blood group related antigens represent a group of carbohydrate determinants carried on both glycolipids and glycoproteins. They are usually mucin-type, and are detected on erythrocytes, certain epithelial cells, and in secretions of certain individuals. Sixteen genetically and biosynthetically distinct but inter-related specificities belong to this group of antigens, including A, B, H, Lewis A, Lewis B, Lewis X, Lewis Y, and precursor type 1 chain antigens. Increased expression of Lewis B has been reported in gastric and pancreatic tumors, as well as in colorectal cancer.

Spezifität: This antibody detects Lewis B (Type 1 chain) and belongs to the BG-6 group, one of a series of well-characterized murine monoclonal antibodies detecting blood group specificities of the ABH and Lewis systems.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: IHC-P: Use at a dilution of 1/40 or greater, for Biotin based detection systems. For optimal staining, the primary antibody should be incubated 20-60 minutes at room temperature. Pretreatment not required. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
