Beschreibung: GTP binding proteins (G proteins) play a critical role in signal transduction by coupling receptors to effectors. The intracellular consequences of G protein activation include second messenger generation, protein phosphorylation, ion channel activation, gene induction, cell growth, and differentiation. Gi belongs to the pertussis toxin sensitive G proteins. Gi consists of three different subtypes of alpha subunits (alpha i1, alpha i2 and alpha i3).

Spezifität: Highly specific to G alpha i1 and shows no cross reaction with transducin, G alpha 0, G alpha i2, G alpha i3, or G alpha s. ADP ribosylation of alpha i1 protein does not alter the reactivity of the antibody.

Applikationshinweise: WB: Use at an assay dependent dilution. Predicted molecular weight: 40 kDa. Not tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
